In 1992, Anthony Tocco Jr. transformed a simple endeavor of selling extra virgin olive oil from the back of his truck into the foundation of what Carmela Foods is today. 

Our journey continues.

Anthony’s dedication to quality began with his very first brand, Colavita, setting a high bar that defined the company's approach.  With determination, countless in-store demos, and a knack for delivery, Carmela Foods quickly emerged as a fresh face in Michigan's specialty distributor scene.

Initially specializing in Italian cuisine, Carmela Foods gradually expanded its repertoire, eventually becoming synonymous with excellence across a diverse array of culinary genres from six continents.
